Very early “Mary Sue” archetypical female superhero character especially in the cartoon her “spider senses” would show her visions from across the world rather than really good reflexes, and she would have extra “spider like powers” to fit any job and get out of any situation like communicating to any spiders in the area and as well as having super sonic spider scream and underwater spider breathing and hearing?? Overall i didn’t hate the absurdity of her powers in the cartoon especially when she would everytime at the end of the episode playing dumb to Jeff going “well i’m just a girl i could never do that” and it always makes me giggle cause i know the show is mainly trying to display women in the 70’s as people who are just as or even more capable while sadly being trapped inside misogyny and female stereotypes and Spider Woman is an amazing portrayal of that which sorry but i love her here so much 🫶
