INXPs in general are kind of in this weird bubble where we’re not like the traditionally masculine XSTXs, but we’re also not like the traditionally feminine XXFJs. INFPs while sensitive beings are often very externally cold, emotionally distant, lackadaisical, and rebellious people, traits that we don’t usually assign to women. While Fi is a deep well of values, thoughts and feelings, it’s also extremely secretive and unique to each individual. ENFJs on other hand lead with Fe, which causes them to often be very externally warm and receptive people who are focused on their communities and other people’s emotional states. Fi while described by Jung as being “feminine”, is actually more stereotypically masculine than Fe, with it causing you to emotionally withdraw from others and hide various facets of yourself. Fe on the other hand wears it’s heart on its sleeve and and engages with others on an emotional level much more than Fi does. Despite all of the BS stereotypes about INFPs crying and hugging trees, INFP girls are often quite tomboyish, while that INFP males are really more androgynous than anything. I, like probably most INFP men, defy the masculine/feminine dichotomy quite a bit. Rather than acting like “boys or girls”, we just are, we have our own style and way of doing things. And in general, INFPs are pretty emotionally reserved. But I’ve noticed in ENFJ men that they often feel like their more “feminine” side is on display to the world, and they’re sensitive with how they come across to others in that regard. That’s more than I can say for most INFPs that I’ve seen.
