Wouldn't So3 be the obvious choice here? Puss attempts to emulate an image of a masculine, untouchable hero for *public* validation, suggesting a focus on external affirmation more than any sex appeal. If he were to truly be an sx3, who does he try to attract or seduce? If anything, he fears the close connections that sx might lead him to emphasise. This can clearly be seen from his decision to reject his romantic relationship with Kitty (sx) for the sake of his ego and to continue living his life as the heroic, swashbuckling Puss in Boots (soc emphasis on reputation). Furthermore, a part of the So3's trait structure is an "Avoidance of the experience of death", which could not be more fitting: https://wiki.personality-database.com/books/enneagram/page/social-3-in-detail On the sx3: "When Vanity meets the sexual instinct it manifests as a deceiving of oneself that love is the answer, that they must shape themselves into their beloved’s ideal to be loved, and ultimately that they are that image. People of this subtype find worth through the sexual instinct in being sexually attractive and desired by others, so they emphasize their physical characteristics." We don't see Puss value this in The Last Wish. Bear in mind that The Last Wish is the only Puss feature that I've viewed recently, so I could be wrong about his portrayal in other movies. A 2 wing also makes more sense than a 4 wing, considering Puss' emphasis on charming those around him with an incredibly inflated version of himself, without any kind of push towards sophistication, withdrawal or self-deprecation. He also makes numerous references to the idea of Puss in Boots as a saviour of the downtrodden or something to that effect to bolster his own ego, which is painfully E2.
