Gin is another difficult character to type, but I think a case can be made for ENTP: dom Ne / inf Si: suddenly abandons his old life with Rangiku with the intent of affecting change and creating a better world for her with no clear objective beyond killing Aizen to right previous wrongs • playful and mischievous • curious (enjoys people-watching, develops an ongoing interest in Ichigo) • metaphorical (likening himself to a snake) • focused on alternatives and outside possibilities (waiting for years to get close enough for the perfect opening to strike Aizen, wondering if Rangiku still loves him by imagining how he would feel towards her if she were to become that same snake tomorrow) • displays a preference for symbolism over factual information (telling Rangiku that her unknown birthday will from now on be the day she met him) • fixated on strange details related to his past (grows persimmons on Squad 3's grounds and distributes them to other squads as a result of these being his favourite food since childhood, dislikes sweet potatoes solely on the basis of mistaking one for a persimmon once) • displays common ExxP tendencies of rejecting being controlled (often making up excuses for "failing" to carry out Aizen's orders properly) and an aversion to feeling pinned down (frequently leaving Rangiku without telling her where he's going) • loyal and fixated on the past which fuels his motives yet extremely flaky and naturally distances himself from all relevant forms of it (Rangiku, their old ways and relationship) • entirely averse to sentimentality (Rangiku reminiscing how he would never leave her anything to remember him by once he disappears, but realising he did so to keep her from dwelling on the past unable to move forward) aux Ti seems pretty intertwined with tert Fe: • collected and calculated • meticulously studied Aizen for years in order to extract crucial information (Kyoka Suigetsu's mechanisms) and gain a thorough understanding of him while also gaining his favour • unaffected by people's wishes and driven entirely by his own reasons for doing things, but his reasons are ultimately rooted in the well-being of others (wanting to make things better so Rangiku won't have to cry anymore, seeing himself as the insider responsible for taking down Aizen and admitting to feeling nervous when the captains all rushed in to attack Aizen because of how little they understood about him and his powers) • cold-blooded and insensitive to the feelings of most people as well as his public reception • analytical and perceptive but primarily geared towards people and their emotions, which he reads incredibly well (even Aizen) similarly to Shinji (voted ENTP) He endorses Fe too frequently and skillfully to be INTP imo. He doesn't seem to run from it the way he does from Si. He also has no refined vision of the future he wishes to effect, especially compared to Tosen (voted INFJ) or Aizen (high Ni user, either INTJ or ENTJ idk), and is overall much more adaptable and less controlling than a Ni dom. Gin Ichimaru was the captain of the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13 until he betrayed Soul Society, alongside Sōsuke Aizen and Kaname Tōsen. His lieutenant was Izuru Kira. He formerly served as the lieutenant of the 5th Division under Sōsuke Aizen and the 3rd Seat of the 5th Division under Shinji Hirako. #KojiYusa
