A quite healthy, likeable ESTJ in Clone Wars. An efficient, by-the-book officer, yet not so rigid that he can't acknowledge when unorthodox tactics prove successful. While he is understandably annoyed at Anakin's reckless behavior, his tertiary Ne allows him to be open to novel tactics if he sees first-hand that they work (like in Cat and Mouse: "I admit I was surprised by the reckless nature of your tactics, but I cannot argue with the results"). He greatly respects the chain of command, to the point that he accepts the Jedi as his superiors despite legitimate frustration with their reckless methods and poor understanding of military strategy. He is annoyed by them but holds no grudges and is not petty about it, placing duty and authority above his own personal feelings (a healthy Te-dom/Fi-inf dynamic). He quickly forgives Ahsoka despite her disobedience and recklessness nearly getting him killed, and takes the high road and backs her up when the others doubt her, when he had every reason to be pissed off and sideline her. Again, his Ne-tert allows him to see the potential in Ahsoka's bold maneuver and is willing to take the risk because the situation is desperate. When serving in the Empire, he saw potential in Thrawn's creative methods and went out of his way to help him make connections and move up the ranks in spite of Imperial prejudice against aliens, because he believed in his potential (Te-Ne). His enforcement of PORD in Andor is a slide into more unhealthy Te-Ne, going to extreme measures to ensure another heist attack doesn't happen again. He has a strong desire to maintain order, and from his point of view the heist was a terrorist attack (and tbh it kinda was given the hostage-taking & threats to kill the guy's wife & son), and the unprecedented scale and shock of the event clearly resonated with him to the point that he went too far in cracking down. While his intent was noble, it blinded him from seeing that he was going too far and triggered an unhealthy expression of Ne as fear/paranoia of similar events happening again combined with unhealthy Te in exerting too much control.
Biografie
A veteran of the Clone Wars, Wullf Yularen once served under Anakin Skywalker in the Clone Wars, commanding a Jedi Cruiser in countless Republic campaigns against Separatist forces and ascending to the rank of admiral. Known as a rigid and by-the-book soldier, after Order 66 ended the war and the Galactic Empire subsumed the Republic, Yularen transferred from fleet command to the Imperial Security Bureau. There, he continued his career success, joining the organization's leadership and taking an interest in matters of grave importance to the Empire's continued prosperity.
