Just look at the scene where Lily visits Nina’s apartment — Erica barely cracks the door open, gives a clipped “she’s not here,” and shuts it. That’s not ESFJ warmth or sociability; that’s private, guarded introversion. And when she removes the doorknob to keep Nina in, she doesn’t lock her from the outside like an authoritarian mom would — she stays in the room with her. That’s classic ISFJ martyrdom, smothering closeness born from fear and overprotection. Everything about her control comes from emotion, guilt, and sacrifice, not rules or logic. She’s tragic, not domineering, which is exactly why she fits an unhealthy ISFJ so well.
