Just look at the scene where Lily visits Nina’s apartment — Erica barely cracks the door open, gives a clipped “she’s not here,” and shuts it. And when she removes the doorknob to keep Nina in, she doesn’t lock her from the outside like an authoritarian mom would — she stays in the room with her.
