[1] there is no way that his fe would be inferior function, in which case it is a big mistype. you can't just call a man who has spent over a decade in a captaincy position, successfully reading people through, rallying them around him and energising them, INTP, without giving any argument for it. i already left a brief comment on features here when there weren't that many votes, and now, a few months later, I can finally write more, refuting the claim that ye xiu is INTP (please ignore that post haha) so, fe implies unity and a sense of belonging. literally one of ye xiu's strengths that we repeatedly observe, for he displays it even naturally without much thought. if he is more silent and not used to speaking his mind directly, it does not mean that this function does not suit him. rather this is a feature of ye xiu's personal experience. he repeatedly comes across as completely misunderstood until he explains everything thoroughly and step by step, and often sees no need for extra words if they do not affect anything he is a person who likes to think of possible outcomes and then try to activate the one that suits him best. this is more like ne-dom than ti-dom. and then how many times have we seen ye xiu in a moment of tension? he jokingly winks away or silently concentrates, but is there ever a glimpse of insecurity in his actions, a desire to detach himself from the situation? because that is exactly what inferior fe, who have a predominant desire to correct their condition with the stronger ti function, do most often do. the dominant function should be the most developed, but, if ye xiu is actually INTP, why is his ti not sufficiently predominant? we should also note that we have never seen anyone succeed in manipulating this man, because most cannot even predict his reactions or guess his motives. his whole move to the tenth server for half the players looked like one big joke and a desire to annoy the guilds and collect materials along the way. almost no one seriously believed that he could return to a professional alliance and create his own team. when ye xiu was confronted by former teammates and received insults, humiliating handouts or offers to return on those disparaging terms, did he ever show open aggression or discomfort? no. he did well, displaying a positive attitude even to the director, despite buried friendships between them and the gravity of the position in which he was placed. and most importantly, he always showed confidence in his strengths, not bragging about them in vain, but skillfully showing it at the right moment. knowledge of the game, mechanical skills, speed of reaction. the title 'encyclopaedia glory' is no joke, yet there was no shadow of egoism or seeking approval from those around him in ye xiu. since the beginning of king's avatar, ye xiu had to go through a lot of emotional ups and downs, and he has done it with such dignity that i just can't admit inferior fe is possible. so now on to the arguments in defence of ENTP. why, apart from what i have already said above, i am of the opinion that ne is the dominant function for ye xiu. we mostly see him during the game, where he reveals himself the most. that is where most of the action takes place. game style is an important part of ye xiu's personality. he pays a lot of attention to detail. what is at the heart of his motivation? for ye xiu glory is also about winning. he craves championships and achievements (the individual arena record comes immediately to mind as an example), even if his ego is not based on his own ego, but on his desire to fulfil the dream of a dead friend. he may not have been angry at all about the mistreatment he received over the years, but the loss of the opportunity to respect su muqiu will show that all along ye xiu stood in one place. in a situation where the team was destroyed from within, he felt he could no longer influence anything if they deemed it unnecessary, but perhaps he also lacked the return of a desire to work with such people and give them another year of effort when they could not even realise it properly. it's a pity we weren't shown the full story before ye xiu left. i would dare say he was not well, and it affected everything, including neglecting his physical condition and ignoring the risks. ye xiu, after a long period of moral pressure, was literally out in the winter without money or belongings, although this outcome was already foreseeable. it is quite different when it finally comes to winning through the use of grim lord, i.e. by the hands of su muqiu. he sees an opportunity, knows he can do better, but decides to walk away from everyone, including su mucheng, despite their proximity, to think about it.
