Peter Wiggin tipo de personalidade mbti
Personalidade
"¿Qué tipo de personalidad es Peter Wiggin? Peter Wiggin es un tipo de personalidad ENTJ en mbti, 3w4 - so/sx - 385 en enneagram, SCOEI en Big 5, LIE en Socionics."
I've changed my mind on Peter Wiggin's socionics type. My previous tying of him as LSI was when I was much less knowledgeable on Socionics and also an attempt to rationalize a singular type for him between his very SLE portrayal in Ender's Game and his very LIE portrayal in the Shadow series, however, I think focusing on the Shadow series alone is a better method since that series was intended to put more focus on Peter while he was more of a device in Ender's Game who only served to develop Ender's (EII) character and Valentine's. If I was only typing based on Ender's Game, SLE would be a slam dunk, but I think since his personality in Ender's Game and the Shadow series is contradictory, it is better to focus on the series where he plays a much more prominent role, using information from Ender's Game to support the argument but not typing him based on his portrayal in that book. Gamma Quadra: Peter Wiggin is primarily someone concerned with proving his worth based on his own merit. He is furious at any suggestion that he uses his relationship to Ender to get ahead and wants to succeed by himself. This fits Gamma values of individualism and competency (Te-Fi) and the success-oriented focus (Se-Ni). In addition to this, Peter is careful about keeping the people he trusts close to him, but with a very 1-to-1 focus like with an Fi valuing type rather than a collective inner circle like a Beta type. For example, he has a very specific relationship to his parents who he'll take advice from, vs. a specific relationship to Bean (another LIE) and specific relationship to Petra (ESI), relating to them as individuals rather than giving them clear positions in the hierarchy. Te base: Peter is primarily defined by two things: His lust for power/violence (more on that later) and his intelligence. Peter is a very good leader due to his ability to solve problems with competence and forward planning (Te and Ni). He is primarily defined by this in the shadow series. Ni creative: Peter's ability to plan ahead and look at long-term trends, while not perfect and not as far-reaching as you would expect from, say, an ILI, is none the less very skilled. He very much understood not just how events would play out after the destruction of the buggers, but also started writing ahead of time to be able to gain enough prominence to influence these events. He understood how war would be necessary to unite humanity but that conquest wouldn't work, and thus mobilized less powerful nations in opposition to potential war using the ongoing wars in Russia, India, and China to stoke these fears and offer a protective blanked with the FPE. Peter is frequently planning ahead to calculate his next move. Se mobilizing: Peter's cruelty and desire for violence is put on full display in Ender's Game and alluded to in the Shadow series. In fact, he was even rejected from Battle School for being too aggressive. Peter is also very ambitious and status-seeking, success-seeking, and power-hungry. Peter very clearly values Se. There's a big issue though, which is that in the Shadow series Peter comes across as very indecisive at key moments. For example, he was very hesitant to reveal his identity as Locke and Bean needed to compel him into coming out. After Achilles took over the Hegemony, Peter initially began to wallow in self-pity until his parents had to rudely force him out of bed to give a press conference. It's clear that despite Peter's ability to be assertive and decisive, this is an inconsistent skill and at times he will become indecisive and need someone to force him into action, which is exactly how mobilizing Se typically manifests. Fi suggestive: I already established valued Fi in my argument for Gamma Quadra values. However, Peter's Fi is very clearly extremely weak. He is often unsure of who to trust (eg. his distrust of Bean, over-trust of Achilles (EIE or IEI), etc.) and not open about his feelings toward others. He is very negligent of his relationship with Ender, continuously undervalues his parents and others. Despite this, he comes to strongly value those close to him (later on, like Bean). Even when making his feelings toward others clear, he is indecisive and half-hearted about it, eg. his confession of love to Petra. Only late in life does he try to reconcile with Valentine and Ender, though he is genuine in this. Despite coming to value his relationships strongly, he could still be negligent toward them and the effect that his actions have on the sensibilities of others, eg. embezzling Ender's Battle School pension fund which caused a rift between him and Bean. Fe role: Peter is hardly a particularly charismatic person. He can come across as a very charming person at times eg. during the press conference after Achilles' takeover, but Peter himself acknowledged before that press conference that he wasn't normally very charismatic and throughout the books comes across as quite dry and unemotional.
Biografia
The oldest Wiggin child. Peter was not put into Battle School because of his sociopathic tendencies. Instead he tortured Ender for most of Ender's childhood, and was the thing Ender always feared turning into. When Ender went to Battle School, Peter started taking over the world with his sister Valentine, under the name Locke.
