She's so tricky because what happens towards the end seems almost like an Fi grip experience, but in general she seems solidly introverted and is much more in touch with her Fi than an Fi inferior would be. I also think that her interactions with Connor (Ne dominant) are very telling of her as an Ne inferior. Ne grip could explain her actions too-blocking out negative possibilities until she's backed into a corner and forced to succumb to them. I don't think she's a core 8. She likes to be competent and in control in a way that makes her stand out, which, combined with the fact that she's very in touch with her own feelings and comfort zone, seems to point toward 4w5 or 5w4. I'd say she definitely has both in her tritype along with an 8 as her second or third fix.
