Frodo Baggins tipo de personalidade mbti

Personalidade

"¿Qué tipo de personalidad es Frodo Baggins? Frodo Baggins es un tipo de personalidad INFP en mbti, 9w1 - sp/so - 946 en enneagram, RLUAI en Big 5, EII en Socionics."

i believe he is a self-preservation four, not a nine. frodo shows a tendency throughout the books to endure his suffering in silence, hence the reason it is so difficult to truly know what is taking place in his mind. by internalizing his pain, he is seeking redemption through the sacrifices he makes (taking the responsibility of the ring upon himself) and hoping to be redeemed for his efforts. “They internalize their pain, seeking redemption through self-sacrifice and tenacious effort.” the reason his envy isn’t very visible is because of the sp4 being a countertype, so instead the envy is turned against himself. the sp4 struggles with recognizing limits, and so they endure hard circumstances in order to protect their ideal future. frodo bore the ring until his body completely spent itself, in the hope he would sacrifice himself for the world he loves and die a renown hero. jrr tolkien states this in one of his letters: “He appears at first to have had no sense of guilt (III 224-5);' he was restored to sanity and peace. But then he thought that he had given his life in sacrifice: he expected to die very soon. But he did not, and one can observe the disquiet growing in him.” frodo’s last hope of self redemption was sacrificing himself, and upon the realization he was still alive and received no admiration from hobbiton, he was finally broken and decided to sail to valinor. the sp4 seeks recognition and admiration through their sacrifices with the firm belief that through tenacious effort, they are finally worthy of love. frodo believed that through committing himself to the destruction of the Ring until his very last breath, he would be received with appreciation for his determination and commitment. ichazo referred to sp4 as “defensive action”, someone who’s protecting their dream of the future. in frodo’s case, he is protecting his dream of being a well-known hero and saving all of middle earth. “Their pursuit of tenacity is driven by a quest for "merits," where effort and sacrifice are seen as virtues that make them righteous deservants of love and recognition.” frodo saw the quest as a failure, not only because he failed to give up the Ring, but because he felt unredeemed and corrupted for still being alive. the sp4 feeds off of tenacity, demanding more and more of themselves, while also feeling dissatisfied with their efforts and self-hatred. frodo believed that he needed to stick to his task no matter what happened to himself; whether he gained something out of it, or lost everything and died in the process. fours tend to nurse negative emotions, and seek comfort in their suffering which makes them have a hard time moving on from hardships in the past. this is exactly what frodo struggles with post-quest, as he dwells in his failure and incompetency which closes him off from moving on from his trauma. “Slowly he fades ‘out of the picture', saying and doing less and less. I think it is clear on reflection to an attentive reader that when his dark times came upon him and he was conscious of being 'wounded by knife sting and tooth and a long burden' (III 268) it was not only nightmare memories of past horrors that afflicted him, but also unreasoning self-reproach: he saw himself and all that he done as a broken failure.” frodo’s greatest fear was having no identity or personal significance after completing the quest, just like how e4 fears having little significance in the world. he desires to leave a legacy and be acknowledged for his good deeds, which is very aligned with e4’s desire to be acknowledged and recognized for their work. this shows when he had a moment of weakness in the morgul vale after realizing the war had started and that he may have been too late; “‘I am too late. All is lost. I tarried on the way. All is lost. Even if my errand is performed, no one will ever know. There will be no one I can tell. It will be in vain.'" he revealed what it was that the ring was tormenting him with—the desire to be a hero known and praised by everyone. sp4s specifically feel tenacity because they don't feel like they're enough and often overwork themselves with the hope that, if their suffering is recognized and understood, they might be forgiven for their failures. however, they often just take the pain and suffering instead of lashing it out on others which is what frodo does when carrying the ring. the sp4 also has a great capacity for empathizing with the sufferings of others, especially if they see parts of themselves in the other. frodo deeply bonds with gollum because he knows the mental struggle of bearing the ring just as gollum does. he believes that if gollum is able to redeem himself, he is also worthy of redemption. “Despite their stoic exterior, the SP4 often exhibit a humanitarian and empathetic disposition, engaging in activities that address the suffering of others.”
