I'm glad that she's no longer voted as an 8, and 4 is much closer to who she actually is, but consider: Haruhi is not an SX4, but an SX7. In fact, I would even say she is an archetypal SX7. Her gluttony is not earthly, but heavenly; she is constantly looking for entertainment of a higher kind. In order to face her life, Haruhi must imagine something beyond the ordinary. This gluttony defines her character, and if we are voting based on subtypes this option should not be discounted. What exactly is she competing against, as a supposed SX4? How does she envy others and seek to surpass them? If we take into consideration the entire series, Haruhi's vice is definitely gluttony, not envy. I really don't see her as predominantly Choleric. She can be mean and egocentric, yes, but she lacks a primarily goal-oriented nature or day-to-day organization that you would expect from Cholerics. She is impulsive, fun-loving, and constantly running her mouth. Haruhi, for the most part, is the embodiment of Sanguine. Choleric, as her secondary temperament, comes out when she is ordering people around and trying to command the SOS Brigade as its leader.
