While foresight on its own doesn’t automatically make someone Ni dom, Seia still fits that role when you look at how she expresses and processes her thoughts. Her abilities don’t just affect her mentally; they take a real physical toll as well. Even so, instead of resting or taking care of herself, she consistently puts others first especially Sensei. Her foresight isn’t directly rooted in Ni, but Ni clearly shows in how she processes information and states her opinions. Ni isn’t about weighing every possible option; it’s about connecting subtle patterns and narrowing them down into one deep, meaningful conclusion. Seia tends to lock onto a single path or interpretation rather than juggling alternatives. On the surface, she comes across as composed and responsible, which explains why people like Hanako and Nagisa admire her. But at the end of the day, she’s still a teenager dealing with fear and uncertainty. Her fixation on the Fifth Koan highlights that inner conflict. Outwardly, she acts like she’s accepted its grim meaning, yet deep down she’s still hoping there’s another interpretation something less hopeless. Basically, a doomer. *here is some of her dialogue on the volume 3 chapter 1 episode 1* "Are you aware of Kivotos' seven koans?" "The fifth one relates to paradise." "Can we prove anyone has ever reached paradise?" "Like each of the koans, this question's intent is vague, but it can be interpreted as referring to the inherent paradox in proving the existence of paradise." "If paradise exists, then the ones who reach it will remain there for eternity, forever enveloped in joy and satisfaction." "If someone does leave paradise, it's because they weren't fully satisfied, so it was never a paradise for them." "Therefore, those who reach paradise cannot be found—and should not exist—outside of paradise." "So, can you prove the truth of someone who does not exist?" "The purpose of this fifth koan is to be nigh unanswerable." "Does truth that cannot be proven become worthless? What is the true question masked behind such cynicism?" "Eden is the Paradise from scripture. It exists nowhere and cannot be found." "In other words, it's nothing but a sweet illusion conjured by dreamers." "You see? Surely, this is the metaphor behind the treaty's name." this screams NI-TI Seia rationalizes her fatalism by analyzing the Koan and turning it into a deterministic worldview. Her cynicism isn’t really emotional it’s analytical. Stuff like “if the future is fixed, then effort is pointless.” She doesn’t just take the Koan at face value either; she keeps questioning it, digging for logical gaps or alternative meanings. That kind of behavior lines up more with Ti, which tends to deconstruct ideas instead of reacting to them emotionally. High Ni users can get stuck in deterministic or nihilistic loops when their vision becomes too narrow or overwhelming, and Seia fits that perfectly. She sees one future, it’s bleak, and she believes there’s no way around it. That’s also where the Ti vs Fi difference shows: Ti despair: logic leads to hopelessness Fi despair: the pain itself is overwhelming Because Seia’s despair comes from reasoning things out rather than emotional overload, INTP makes more sense to me than INFP, if I had to pick between the two.
