There’s a difference between a true realist and a fake realist. A fake realist would be ENTJ SO3s or INTJs, they liked to see themselves as realists while having utopian way of thinking and beliefs, for the ENTJ E3s, they are one of the biggest hypocrites I know. They usually claimed to be pragmatic people, yet anything they do as well as their beliefs are just delusional and not based on scientific facts (I met one, this person claimed to be a realist in her day to day life, she’s very present oriented, yet she beliefs in astrology ; or Ben Shapiro and Matt Walsh are examples of people who falls into this category). Those who says “This is just FACTS!” Or “Facts don’t care about your feelings!” are usually being ignorant, hypocritical, and lacks empathy. (Since they are Te dom and Fi inferior). On the other hand Se bases are the true realists that sees things as it is, because they only believe in what they can see, hear, touch, or smell, if you tell them religious superstitious stuff, they aren’t going to buy into that (I fall into this category by the way ; well, I identify as an idealist or optimist, but with pragmatic approach in life, everyday I ask myself this question “what can I do to make my dreams come true?”, it’s a great example on how my Se and Ni worked together as a team). The most realistic types are ESTP SLE and ESFP SEE. But still, those two types can be a bit bias too, because they often referred to facts as “their own lived experience” or “their truth” sometimes, this is more apparent in type like ESTP SLE SP8s they are bias in their ways of thinking and seen the world. I’d say ESTPs are more pragmatic rather stick to the “by the book facts”, but they do fit the criteria of being a realist though, but for the same reasons, they are also very ignorant of others feelings because realists don’t care about people’s emotions.(cause remember they’re Fi blind).
