To me he clearly demonstrates his true type when he stands up to Frank in the climatic scene. An ISFJ wouldn’t have done that the way he did. He literally put his life on the line for his Fi. As for him not having strong Ne, he’s a 17 year old boy that’s just been thrown into a totally different world, no one should expect him to. Also, I don’t think his not wanting to rat on the boys at school is an expression of Fe; he says explicitly he doesn’t even like them. He’s just worried about all the different consequences he could face, which *is* a display of Ne. A great example of a fairly prevalent yet overlooked archetype in media, the Blank Slate INFP Everyman.
