I have two major reasons that led me to conclude Rimuru is not an INFJ: 1. Lack of Ni-Ti Synergy Every time Rimuru used Ni and Ti together, it didn’t reflect the dominant pairing seen in INFJs. The Ni-Ti dominant pair in INFJs is highly responsible, dynamic, and exhibits constant synergy. When new information is introduced to an INFJ, they will integrate it with existing information (Ni) and eventually form a new abstract framework. An introverted pairing in the dominant position tends to be aggressive, meaning it drives changes and evolves over time. In Rimuru’s case, Ti is used to understand what needs to be understood, and Ni is employed occasionally for thoroughness. However, he does not take responsibility for them as a dominant pair would. Instead, he uses them as tools for inspiration or reference points. This approach is not aggressive or change-driven, which suggests that Ni and Ti are not in a dominant pairing position for him. This lack of Ni-Ti synergy is why I initially dismissed the idea of Rimuru being an INFJ. INFJs are deeper and more thorough thinkers, regardless of their intelligence. Rimuru, however, is more of a habitual thinker without that depth. He is comfortable delegating the thinking process to others, often letting them take responsibility. He also leaves different pieces of information in separate mental "boxes," engaging with them only occasionally as a habit rather than as part of an Ni-Ti mission or agenda. This behavior aligns more with the Ti-Si authoritative pairing in ENTPs, where these functions act as observational tools rather than an agenda to pursue actively. --- 2. Rimuru as an Intuitive Fe There are two types of Fe: intuitive Fe and sensing Fe. Rimuru clearly demonstrates intuitive Fe. He reacts to external emotional values (Fe) without relying much on tangible sensory information, whether external (Se) or internal (Si). This makes him an intuitive Fe user. Rimuru shows a natural predictive ability (Ni/Ne) regarding external emotional values (Fe), effortlessly understanding individual and group dynamics. The key question is whether he uses Ni or Ne alongside his Fe to achieve this predictive capability. The truth is, he uses both, but the novel shows he depends more on immediate external patterns (Ne) than on existing internal patterns (Ni) to predict others, especially his adversaries. Ni-Fe monologue: "Ahh, if I didn’t listen to him now, he would be mad at me." (focuses on the Ni vision of the person). Ne-Fe monologue: "He seems like the type to get mad if I don’t listen to him. So, I’d better listen to him now." (focuses on the Ne perception of external patterns). Rimuru consistently displays the latter approach when deciding how to interact with others. He emphasizes external patterns over internal ones, enabling him to navigate relationships with new people and monsters effectively. He doesn’t need to guess an internal idea about someone before interacting; instead, he observes their external patterns and responds accordingly. The Ne-Fe dominant pairing in ENTPs is also responsible. Rather than delegating responsibility for his Ne-Fe mission to others, Rimuru takes responsibility himself to create and pursue his agenda. For example: "It’s simple. I want to create a world where life is as convenient as I wish it to be. A comfortable world where everyone can laugh and enjoy their lives as much as possible. That’s what I truly and honestly want." — Rimuru Tempest --- Based on these two points, I currently believe Rimuru is an ENTP. There are many misconceptions about ENTPs, such as being chaotic, argumentative, or overly analytical. I won’t spend time debunking those stereotypes, as they represent behavioral tendencies rather than an accurate analysis of cognitive functions. A person can be an ENTP without embodying these stereotypes, just as the same holds true for INFJs.

Rimuru Tempest (リムル゠テンペスト, Rimuru Tenpesuto) is the main protagonist of Tensura series. He is the founder and King of the Jura Tempest Federation in Jura Forest. He is one of the Demon Lord of the Octagram.
