I only have two big reasons that helped me separate Rimuru from being an INFJ: 1. No Ni-Ti synergy Everytime Rimuru used Ni and Ti together, he didn't use it like a dominant pairing in INFJ at all. Ni-Ti dom pair in INFJ is highly responsible, enacted to changes and constant synergy between them. So, if a new information being fed to an INFJ, they'll make sure to synergize the new information together with the existing information (Ni pursue) and at the end would come with their own new abstract framework on things. When an introverted pairing is in the dominant position, it'll be more aggressive, hence, is subjected to be responsible to change and evolve with times. But Rimuru only use Ti to understand what he needs to understand and Ni at times to be more thorough in understanding. He was not responsible for them, he was just using them as inspirations and referring points. They're not aggressive at all and not subjected to change either, which only means they're not in the dominant pairing position. This lack of the synergy needs in Ni-Ti of Rimuru is what caused me to initially dropped the idea of him being INFJ. INFJ is a more deeper and thorough thinker, regardless of their intelligence, while Rimuru is just a habitual thinker without the necessary depth in it. He even feel comfortable delegating the thinking process to everyone else, letting them taking the responsibility for him at times. And he was more than comfortable to leave different information in separate boxes, engaging with them occasionally as a sort of habit rather than an Ni-Ti mission/agenda. And this is even in line with Ti-Si authoritative pairing in ENTP instead, which acts more like an observation point rather than an agenda that needs to be pursued. 2. Rimuru as intuitive Fe There're only two types of Fe, intuitive Fe or sensing Fe. And Rimuru is definitely an intuitive Fe. He reacted to the external feelings values (Fe) without really depending on external tangible sensory information (Se) or even internal tangible sensory information (Si). So, he could only be an intuitive Fe. He got a very high and natural predictive nature (Ni/Ne) over external feelings values (Fe). Be it on single individual's or collective group's feelings values, he could see through them effortlessly and reacted to them without much pondering. So, the question is, did he use Ni or Ne in pairing with his Fe to result to that predictive nature over other people? The truth is, he use both, but if you read the novel, you'll notice that he always depended on immediate external patterns (Ne) more than existing internal patterns (Ni) to predict people, especially his adversaries. Ni-Fe monologue would likely sounds like this: "Ahh, if I didn't listen to him now, he would be mad at me." (focusing more on the Ni vision of the man) Ne-Fe monologue would likely sounds like this: "He seems like the type to get mad if I don't listen to him. So, I'd better listen to him now." (focusing more on the Ne vision of the man) Now, Rimuru is always on the latter preference when pondering about what action he should take when interacting with people. He was putting more emphasis on the external patterns rather than internal patterns when guessing other people's values. And this helped him tremendously to excel in navigating his relationships with new people and monsters. Because he didn't really need to guess the internal idea about a new person before interacting with that person. Instead, he just perceived the immediate external patterns of that new person and reacted accordingly with them. And Ne-Fe dominant pairing in ENTP is responsible. That means, rather than delegating the responsibility for his Ne-Fe mission to others, he took the responsibility himself to create and pursue his Ne-Fe agenda. "It's simple. That's what I truly and honestly want." - Rimuru Tempest So, just based on these two points, my vote for now would be ENTP for Rimuru. As there are too many misconceptions about ENTP (being more chaotic, more argumentative, more analytical etc.), I'll not spend any time to debunk those misconceptions. I could only say that they're mere stereotypes of behaviours rather than true analysis on cognitive functions. A person could be an ENTP without having any ENTP's stereotypes, and the similar is true with INFJ.
