"Quel type de personnalité est Atsuko “Akko” Kagari? Atsuko “Akko” Kagari est un type de personnalité ENFP dans MBTI, 7w8 - sx/so - 728 dans Enneagram, SLUAI dans Big 5, IEE dans Socionics."
To me, she's a pretty clear ENFP. Allow me to start with a silly example. Just a few minutes in the first episode, her Ne is already in action: she immediately starts asking questions to *everyone* à la Socrates; then she tells Sucy every reason she wants to go to school when meeting her for the first time. Now, jokes aside... I'd say the distinction between Ne and Se is that the former is attracted by the potentiality of many things happening, while the latter seeks that potential in what is already there. When Akko approaches things, she dives into the unknown to discover something new: that's the nature of her recklessness. As st's translation of Psychological Types says: ● It seeks to discover what possibilities the objective situation holds in store. ● Every ordinary situation in life seems like a locked room, which Ne must open. Doesn't sound like Akko, yet? If what you're looking for is a more "traditional" common knowledge of Ne (that being a function of brainstorming) then worry not, there are some examples of that too. The best example is definitely ep.18 when she aids Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger out of guilt, and when their little fight stopped, it's Akko who comes up with the absurd idea of building a mecha. By the way, in this same episode, there's also an example of Fi at work. This function has a peculiar way of relating to people that Jung calls "sympathetic parallelism": "I understand because I've felt it too". Indeed this is what she says to Constanze Amalie von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger: "Aren't we kind of similar? Ever since we were little, we were obsessed with just one thing!". I wouldn't say this sentence contradicts Ne, as Fi usually sets such a strong personal bond with certain concepts/things/people that may look linear at times, despite Fi. Back to Ne. I'd like to highlight her contrast with Amanda, an Se dom. While Amanda is more grounded than Akko and sometimes says discouraging things (near the end of the last episode, saying that Akko won't be able to fly just a few instants before she manages to do so) but Akko is always ready to refute those. In episode 25, the following conversation takes place. Amanda: "Hey Akko, are you blind? It's a freaking missile!" Akko: "Does that mean you won't do anything? [...] There must be something that only we can do as witches!" Speaking of Amanda, in her dedicated episode (the 17th) it's her who almost forcefully brings Akko to Andrew's school, while Akko still had some hypotheticals to explore and tells Amanda to at least wait for Ursula to come back, although in vain, as Amanda was already looking for an adventure. As I want to avoid writing the Bible down here, I won't explain Akko's relationship with Diana unfortunately, although it's the most important one. I think that after reading all of this, you'll come to your own conclusions. Their pair is a perfect mirror (ENFP-ISTJ) and their different ideas about idealism and pragmatism/traditions are blatant. Just a little fun moment here as an example: https://imgur.com/pteXPB8 She isn't as easy to type as I thought she would but these are my points, I'll gladly accept a good explanation for Se!
Biographie
The protagonist of the franchise. Akko is a bubbly young girl from Japan who aspires to become a witch after watching one of Shiny Chariot's performances. She's generally reckless and willing to take risks and has no experience with, nor knowledge of magic, which combined with her hot-blooded and lazy nature, makes her a rather unpopular student amongst her peers and her teachers. In spite of these flaws and setbacks, however, she is a kind and passionate girl who cares deeply about her friends and is determined to make her dreams come true, not willing to let anyone or anything stop her.
