Not all scifi writers have Ti, and he doesn't seem very concerned with the minutiae of how things in his stories work: they're like that because they have to be to serve the narratives and themes he's exploring. If anything, there's more of a Nietzschean kind of existential dread, a constant vertigo: around being a disembodied consciousness while not being able to grasp the nature of what exactly makes you "real" or "yourself", around being aware that you're already dead, aware that you're a machine, etc. A lot revolves around the progress of technology catching up to our humanity, and a lot is said about the potential destructive power of capitalism when pushed to an extreme, too.
