I can understand why people might think he's an ISFJ but ESFJ suits him much more imo. Being calm or awkward does not automatically equal Si dom. Hino is externally focused he is emotionally. His whole character revolves around reading the emotional atmosphere between people and actively trying to maintain harmony even when it costs him his own comfort (like with his family situation keeping a front acting normal and happy around his family but didn't say anything to keep harmony, or when Koyuki told him he doesn't have to "try to be good")That’s very Fe dom. Like look at how he approaches conflicts in both the anime and the manga He adjusts himself depending on the emotional needs of the group. He notices tension almost immediately and feels responsible for smoothing it over. He does not retreat into a personal comfort zone the way an ISFJ usually would (for example when Koyuki and the dude that likes to "open people's doors" (forgot his name) got into that fight he noticed the tension, knew that it was a misunderstanding and quickly tried to clear it up) His behavior with Koyuki especially screams Fe over Si. He’s constantly trying to understand how she feels and how to make interactions easier for her. His focus is outward. It’s about emotional reciprocity and shared atmosphere. An ISFJ usually filters things through personal familiarity and internal impressions first. And honestly his Ne is way more visible. He gets curious about people quickly. He experiments socially even if awkwardly. He doesn’t come off rigid or routine attached like a Si dominant. his Si seems mooreee supportive not dominant. For ISFJs Si is usually the way which they understand the world. Hino the way he sees it is clearly interpersonal harmony and emotional responsiveness first. Also people forget ESFJs are not all loud energetic extroverts nor are they those toxic a**holes (well at least not all of them). Fe doms can absolutely be soft spoken shy or awkward especially teenagers. Cognitive extroversion is about where ur attention naturally goes. Hino’s attention constantly goes toward other people’s feelings reactions and connection dynamics. That is how Fe dom is described exactly. (a little upset that he and Koyuki don't have a thing for each other THEY WOULD BE SO CUTE. he always wants some peace and quiet and same thing for her they are perfect)
