I believe that Himiko is in an Ni-Ti loop when we meet her in the game. She is so focused on the bigger picture of finding Oni Island, saving the land from darkness, and her purpose in connection with the crystal ball that she skips auxiliary Fe--her social role in the outer world as queen--and to Ti, which is independent of social role and sees things impartially. This is why she grieves when she realizes she has been neglecting her people on an emotionally comforting level as their leader; as she fell too far into Ni, she didn't see the importance of calming their fears in the face of the bigger picture, the threats ahead of them.
