i’m rewatching got rn so i thought that would be great if i could share my thoughts about Daenerys cause i see lots of people type her as SX1 which is completely wrong for me [1] E2 passion «Twos have a passion for pride, and because of this, feel wonderful and generous. They live in the most absolute abundance and feel above everyone and everything. The problem of this passion is that they feel omnipotent and do not know how to ask for things for themselves. They think they know what everyone needs and end up being very invasive» that’s probably one of the best description of Daenerys and her governing. if you remember the Meereen arc you probably can recognise the twos passion in Daenerys actions. Daenerys abolished slavery within the city (like she did before) but she never was close enough to the people she was trying to save. she LITERALLY thought she knows what everyone needs and that was her huge mistake cause step by step she led the city to a shadow war. if you still believe that her biggest purpose was saving people you’re completely wrong. that never was enough for her it was just a convenient target on the way to the throne :( Daenerys is a good character but you shouldn’t ignore her lore and try to make her an angel [2] E2 fixation as i said Daenerys wasn’t the savior everyone wanted her to be. like every single E2 Daenerys has a passion for her pride which can be seemed as a greatest generosity but. her mission was to bring the pride and symbol of her house back in to the world. everything she done through the seasons (or books) was for the proud name of Targaryen to become strong and famous again. you also can’t ignore the fact everything she done to became stronger was govern by E2’s fixation : «This means that while they give, they unconsciously expect something in return. Therefore, they are not altruistic or truly generous. To get what they want, they use seduction and manipulation» u can remember the beginning of got when Daenerys saved a woman that killed her husband later. she thought she was giving the greatest mercy and her pride played a cruel joke at the end. it’s not a big secret that Daenerys never was self-esteem but trough the miseries she survived Daenerys learned to hide trough a self-confident and the feeling that the world has to love her [3] SO2 in conclusion i have to say why i type her as SO2 and i’m gonna use mel’s subtype description : «Once the social instinct meets the Pride of a 2, it transforms said pride into someone who is often refered to as a social climber. Pride here takes form as feeling worthwhile when achieving a position they are after. They are the coldest and most intellectual 2, as to go out and conquer you need to know how to use your mind, for this reason they like to be seen as people of reference» + «They are also counter-dependent, meaning rather than being dependent on others and acting the way the other wants them to, they are the ones to push others into playing the court for them, though often there is a person in the SO2s life who they are dependent upon, whether they can admit it consciously or not» and this type’s description summarised Daenerys in the best possible way. in the last seasons when Daenerys and John first met u can see how proud she was cause she knew that he has rights to become a king and at first she almost decided not to help the North in a fight. later in a King’s Lading when she was close to her win just because of her own pride she couldn’t see potential fail and died in the arms of the person she loved «You are small men. None of you are fit to lead the Dothraki. But I am. So I will» - ef(n) so2 /hj
