if this were any other series with any other writers Terry would be an ESFP. it's like the show wants him to be an ESFP, but the show's writing is so saturated with Ne that Terry becomes an ENFP instead. my best example of this is the episode that stumped me the most when typing him, the line episode: Terry's favorite hobby is waiting in line. he finds it peaceful just doing absolutely nothing, just "living in the present." when i first thought about it, this really felt like significant evidence that Terry's an ESFP, and also kind of contextualized a lot of his "lazy, dumb" characterization as "purely existing in the present moment." but then, because the show wouldn't be the show that it is without an escalation of Ne, Terry's hobby of waiting in line wasn't JUST standing there existing in the present, it was interacting with this complex community system of people that wait in line. all the line rules, making friends in the community, bonding over wild things they witnessed in the line (specifically the stories of other people in the line, not experiences happening to Terry in particular), just all of these elements of Terry's hobby that involve Terry forming mental connections with the external environment and seeking out interesting dynamics in the world (not necessarily involving himself physically, which would be Se). and you can see this with almost everything Terry does, even if it initially seems like Se. this show runs on Ne, the characters pretty much all use it constantly. Terry's hedonistic tendencies aren't specific to physical experiences, he's also seeking out conceptual experiences. sometimes he's even seeking out the conceptual experience from the physical. definitely some kind of hybrid ESFP written by Ne doms, making him an ENFP. plenty of Se but definitely inferior Si and high, high Ne.
