Inferior Se: Using Se to look for basic ideas in concepts to support Ni e.g. Se makes us aware that a book is a book, a Rose by the lake is a rose and a tree is a tree. Ni would use Inferior Se to collect information-which Ni hates as it goes against it. (Inferior functions are the opposite way to which we live, a Ti dominant with Fe inferior will not Live in external feeling they will live in subjective thinking as it is dominant) Anyway, we see Kyōko in the first investigation, look for evidence such as the message on the bathroom door and the broken door knob, obviously kyōko immediately looked for the meaning of the message on the wall whilst she dismissed the broken door knob. If this was Ne, I do not think they would dismiss information like this instead they would probably find reasons as to why it was broken then end up at the same conclusion as kyōko or find possibilities of what could’ve happened and be stuck with it. Anyway, the reason she did not suspect the broken doorknob was relevant was because of Ni. Not Ne. She probably thought along the lines of “As Sayaka was in the girls room, Sayaka probably locked the door hence why The Culprit (Leon Kuwata) had to use some toolkit to break in, due to how the nameplates are and the “locked door”-which turned out to be not locked also meaning that Sayaka was in Makoto’s room and Makoto was in Sayaka’s room- the culprit would think they are in Sayaka’s room (as the door seemed to be locked). It was until Makoto told Kyōko that his door frame was too big and there was a certain way to open the door, that was when Kyōko looked suprised. Not because she was shocked about the doorframe it was because this gave her a whole new insight 1)being “the door was never locked this whole time this just meant that the killer thought it was locked” 2) If the door was not locked, the killer used the screwdriver because they thought they were in the girls room, which has locks in the bathroom, meaning that somehow the killer thought they were in a girls room, they probably thought it was Sayaka’s room, and the switched nameplates which also prove this to be true. This is also why Kirigiri asked Makoto if he told anybody this, in which he responded “Just Sayaka and Monokuma know” Which this sentence proves that the Culprit has to be a guy or else there was no way of getting a screwdriver without anybody knowing. Notice how deductive (Ni) this looks rather than explosive (Ne). Notice how it’s external, objective stimuli that proves this to be true and not a prediction given from a small detail. No, this was a number of objects: nameplates, doorframe, screwdriver. And from which branched out a section of the crime Sayaka could’ve committed. None of these came from a subjective (personal) meaning BASED ON THE OBJECTIVE SITUATION (Si) it came from the objective objects (objects how they are [Doorframe, Nameplate, Doorknob, Scredriver] which is Se. Might I say, something that is extremely obvious which proves that Kirigiri is not an Si dominant is because Si dominants have and inferior Extraverted intuition which obviously means their Ne is weak, if their Ne is weak, it means they have trouble looking for possible outcomes and if they have trouble looking for possible outcomes, we can say they have trouble branching out if they have trouble branching out it means they have trouble looking at things from different angles. At what point does Kyōko struggle to branch out? All of her deductions would make zero sense if she did not branch out. How would she have gotten that Sayaka attacked first through no branching out? Might I add the synonyms for branching out: “Expand”, “Shift” “diversify” What all these words have in common is that if added with the idea of mentality it means to change focus or “look through different angles” This is the exact definition of introverted intuition in the book “Gift Differing” Created by the creator of MBTI. “Regards the immediate situation as a prison from which escape is urgently necessary and aims to escape through some sweeping change in the subjective understanding of the objective situation.” Key part: “aims to escape through some SWEEPING CHANGE in the subjective understanding of the objective situation” The objective situation is using Se, and the subjective understanding will always be an introverted function, in this case Ni. Might I add, Gift differing also says this on the next line: “Receives its Impetus from outer objects but is never arrested by external possibilities, being occupied rather by searching out new angles for viewing and understanding life.” Kyōko is never worried about the various things that could happen, yes this can also be seen as Si. But Si definitely does not “search out new angles for viewing understandings” they use patterns they are aware of. Unlike Ni who does this through any object they find and you can almost call it an unconscious thought process as: (See in part 2)
