Social Introversion =/= Cognitive Introversion. Byakuya certainly does not enjoy spending his time making friends, that is true, but it is linked to how he fails to understand the value of emotions. This can also be Te-Ni considering social niceties as unproductive. A recurring theme is that he pushes morals away in favor of success to the point of provoking the more emotional characters in the series (eg. having his face slapped by Hina and Mondo almost putting his hands onto him) Signs of unhealthy Se can be shown when Byakuya treats his situation as if it was a game. While it's clear that he prefers to think steps ahead instead of improvising, he expresses disdain towards fantasizing, constantly reminding others to "wake up" and get used to the real world. Try to remember the 4th trial; the problem was that Byakuya was so used to relying on cost benefit diagrams to make decisions that it backfired in his face. When he misused his Ni on the wrong suspect, he resorted to the Te-Se driven stratagem of getting results, causing him to take Hina's claims at face value because it'd feel inefficient to take a step back and consider the emotional implications. He then became hypersensitive over his own incompetence in solving the case because of how terribly he was was misled by his philosophies against empathy. Pure Fi grip at its finest, was it not?
