This is one of those pages where I am genuinely impressed by PDB’s conclusion on a type. Oliver has every stereotypical quality associated with ISTPs. Hes a loner, he’s reserved, he’s stoic, he’s disagreeable, he’s mechanically competent and he’s stubborn, however when one looks past all of that it becomes noticeable how valuable present mindedness is to Oliver, as well as how much attention Oliver pays to reading people and accomodating his responses to them. While not great at it, as he is more logically inclined, he shows a desire to try and understand what people value, even if he disagrees with it. There are a couple of time I can recall where Oliver is vulnerable, but he will arrogantly act as if he knows what someone will or wont due or he will attempt to communicate relative to the persons values to get out of a situation by pointing out the logic or lack of logic in ones values. Oliver is pretty keen to notice who is thinking what and actually has a preferred muscle for interacting with people and maneuvering the social sphere. Also his sense of present mindedness is apparent to me. Oliver is an actor and he is a doer and he is this way because he tends to be in the present moment of what he needs to be advancing towards. He can be exceptionally forceful in this regard, taking matters into his own hands and adapting however he can to make headway towards a goal. To Oliver every situation is an opportunity to take action.
