There is a sense of fully engaging in emerging new approaches to doing things and being energized by discovering other perspectives on things and people in an ever-shifting succession of ideas or insights triggered by the particular situation, much like brainstorming. This is often experienced as a flight of ideas that bring relevant pieces of information from one context into another. “What is” is not seen for what it is, but for its relationship to other things. As everything is perceived in a context of a web of relationships, nothing stands alone or disconnected.❞ ⤷ ♡ NE: Rapunzel’s Ne is overflowing throughout the entire movie. Se is more about wanting to enjoy things they already know, while Ne prefers to explore new possibilities and the unknown. Rapunzel sings a whole song about how she wants her life to begin and be exciting. Every new experience excites her, whether it be touching grass for the first time or falling in love. The entirety of the When Will My Life Begin? (reprise) screams Ne. Her character is about exploring and learning new things about the life she’s been locked away from for 17 years. While she does basically does the same thing every day, she still finds some new way to enjoy it which is Ne/Si axis. If she was a Se user, she would have gotten bored of doing the same thing day in day out. ׂ ۪ ✽ AUX FUNCTION: FI → introverted feeling definition :: ❝ When Fi is a preferred process, there is often a gut feeling about whether personal, group, or organizational behavior is congruent with values. Behavior is often checked for authenticity and against beliefs to maintain inner harmony and when that harmony exists there is a sense of peace. Fundamental truths are often the basis for actions and standing up for these truths is energizing and compelling. These values can be highly specific to the individual or such universals as freedom, loyalty, goodness, etc.❞ ⤷ ♡ FI: Rapunzel’s not easily swayed by others people’s thoughts and opinions. She stays true to what she values, like seeing the lights. For example, in “Mother Knows Best”, Gothel tells Rapunzel she shouldn’t leave to see the lights for multiple reasons. Yet this does not stop Rapunzel, as she goes with Flynn anyway. Rapunzel always stays true to herself, regardless of any means. An example of this is when she promises to give Flynn back his satchel if he takes her to see the lights. RAPUNZEL: “I promise. And when I promise something I never ever break that promise. EVER!” In the cabin scene, Rapunzel tries to get everyone to see her dream and point of view when they try to take Flynn from her. RAPUNZEL: “Find your Humanity! Rapunzel is the protagonist of Disney's 2010 animated feature film Tangled. She is the princess of the kingdom of Corona, known for her long, magical, golden hair. As a baby, Rapunzel was abducted by a wicked crone and locked away in a remote tower for 18 years—during which, she became fascinated with a phenomenon involving "floating lights" that would only appear on her birthday. With the aid of the handsome thief Flynn Rider, Rapunzel escaped her tower to learn more about the lights and pursue her dream of exploring the outside world. Rapunzel is loosely based on the protagonist of the classic German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm. She is the tenth official Disney Princess and is also the first to originate from a fully computer-animated film.
