An insecure ESTJ does not an ISTJ make. If they were an Si-dom, one would expect them to advise observing events play out to get more information before acting. Instead, like a proper Te-dom, their advice is to experiment and try different actions/conditions to see what happens. They're certainly chomping at the bit to do so - when Yuriko offers to give them information if they beat her as a Gnosia, they go directly for it with little hesitation. On top of that, I'd argue the pre-loop scene shows a confused Te-dom trying to follow logic rather than just rules; the same situation for an Si-dom should have them following established protocol rather than questioning if it was the most logical way to handle things. They also has the typical Te-dom tendency towards confrontational rage, given that they apparently kill Sha-Ming on the regular.
