After further analysis, I cant see Asuka as an ESTJ. All of the arguments for ESTJ focus on supposed Si which is completely unfounded. These arguments state that Asuka is an auxilary Si user because she was motivated from past trauma to become loved, which is an extremely terrible argument because any type could do this. Can someone genuinely sit there and say that a high Ni user couldn’t do the same thing? If a large quantity of traumatic experiences happen to someone especially in childhood, it’s going to stain someone’s view of life unless the scars recover- they’re scars for a reason though. Her Te is obviously dominant, which would only lead one other option, ENTJ, which makes much more sense than ESTJ. Asuka never really gives us a super clear Si or Ni usage, but between the two I’d say that her Ni is certainly much higher. Rei is a Si dom who follows the traditional aspects of the NERV system as doing so was the sensory environment she had adapted meaning to. Not to say Ni users can’t follow orders, but the way Rei perceived it was Si. Asuka was yelling in episode 22 in the elevator scene at Rei for acting like a doll and cattle to the NERV system. She was taking the big picture and overarching meaning of observable patterns from Rei’s behavior to form a singular conclusion of her being a doll. I cant recall once where Asuka navigated through events like a Si auxilary user would. She isn’t comparing current events to the past experiences and thinking of the situations meaning through past experiences. The only example that I can think of that would be brought up is her thinking no ones ever loved me so they won’t now which is just trauma, which I previously rebutted making it invalid. Ni-Se users gather data from the present moment and create patterns from the experiences which ultimately leads to creating a vague collective album of events that are projected onto future events subconsciously. Asuka is much more concerned with the future patterns and projections of how the events of EVA battles will unfold in the present moment or future than comparing the experiences to past ones or general meaning of what it was before which shows Ni-Se over Si-Ne. Throughout the series, Asuka displays a fair usage of Se. She is shown consistently acting in the present moment and doing things in the moment which can be demonstrated through her throwing herself into high danger situations while piloting the Eva. Se users are more focused on what happened rather than the personal significance the sensory data meant to them which contrasts Se vs Si which can be seen in Asuka. After battles piloting the Eva’s she’s seen mainly speaking out of events of jealousy and how Shinji does this or that, then in episode 22 how herself as well as Rei are left behind out of the spotlight. Jealousy wasn’t personal significance through Si, it was through her inferior Fi and 3 core. Though her Fi is inferior it is still shown with how much she values best and loved- I dont think I even need to explain 3w4’s involvement in this either. This scenario ultimately envelopes a pattern of Se-Fi > Si>Fi as it’s a recurring event throughout the series. Every time an ENTJ argument has been made, large or small, people have always commented intuitive bias or something unreasonable after. Instead of making false accusations, why not utilize your opinion to withhold your side against the other debaters? You saying such things doesn’t make a point and the only herd you’re convincing with such is cattle. Side note, how the hell is she voted VELF? Flexible emotions, seriously? Keep in mind 2E will have an attitude towards talking about emotions to be the best solution for them. I mean, Shinji was even yelling at her because she refused to open up and kept everything bottled away. 3E is much more fitting. Asuka is shown to be quite insecure about her emotions throughout the show, 3E’s are more private about emotions and keep them bottled up.

Asuka Langley Soryu (惣流・アスカ・ラングレー, Sōryū Asuka Rangurē) is a fictional character from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, created by Gainax. Within the series, she is designated as the Second Child and the pilot of a giant mecha named Evangelion Unit 02, to fight against enemies known as Angels for the special agency Nerv. Because of childhood trauma, she has developed a competitive and outgoing character, to get noticed by other people and affirm her own self.
