Yes he does use strong Ni when conjuring his plan but he extensively used Fe in order to manipulate and generally as his orientation. I see no Fi on him. In his first scene he latched on to Cooper and the others, demonstrating his Fe dom while sobbing in their arms and expressing that he had been so deprived of human interaction/connection that he was driven to the point of death. An INTJ would not feel this intense of a reaction due to having Fi as their tert, however, an Fe dom would. He viewed the sacrifice made by Dr. Brand to be valiant due to him trading his own “humanity” for the betterment of mankind. Although he was labeled as a trickster Mann idolized him due to his beliefs and collective, rather than singular, care. While Cooper was dying he repeatedly tried to seem as if he was not the bad guy and to gain sympathy from him rather than being judged. He admitted/accepted his cowardice but believed that it didn’t matter as he was doing it all for the sake of mankind while Cooper was doing it for his selfish pursuits. His entire twisted fascination with the theory of survival instinct was due to its connection/drive by love and connection (Fe). He told Cooper he couldn’t “watch” him die due to his immense guilt although he thought he could initially. However, he continually taunted Cooper about his family as he was choking and tried to understand what he must be feeling/viewing at this moment such as when he inquires, “Do you see your children?” He prompted Cooper to “just listen” to his voice as he crookedly believed that it would give him a sense of care or comfort in his final moments. I have included a few of his quotes as I believe it really exhibits his FeNi orientation. “He was prepared to destroy his own humanity in order to save the species. He made an incredible sacrifice...” “A father with a survival instinct that extends to your kids. What does research tell us is the last thing you will see before you die? Your children. Their faces at the moment of death your mind is going to push harder to survive…for them.” “Cause I want to save all of us. For you, Cooper.” “I’m sorry I can’t…I can’t watch you go through this. I thought I could, but I can’t.” “I’m here, I’m here for you. Just listen to my voice Cooper, I’m right here. You aren’t alone.” “This is not about my life. Or Cooper’s life. This about all mankind.”
