Kepribadian

"Jenis kepribadian apa itu Mariah Carey? Mariah Carey adalah tipe kepribadian ESFJ di mbti, 3w2 - sx/so - 369 di enneagram, SLOAN dalam Big 5, ESE dalam socionics."

I originally typed this as a response to another comment; but it had some valid points so I decided to re-post it here. Have a read! ════ ⋆★⋆ ═════ ⋆★⋆ ══════ ⋆★⋆ ═════ Mariah is not a Te type; quite clearly a Fe type. It would be best not using sole incidents in isolation to type people; they often prove inconclusive. As Jung said of the Fe user: ♛ I may feel constrained, for instance, to use the predicate 'beautiful' or 'good', not because I find the object 'beautiful' or 'good' from my own subjective feeling, but because it is fitting and politic so to do; and fitting it certainly is, inasmuch as a contrary opinion would disturb the general feeling situation. A feeling-judgment such as this is in no way a simulation or a lie- it is merely an act of accommodation. Mariah shows this 'emotional accommodation' several times. An uncommon instance of this is onstage, where she is extremely adaptive and reactive to emotional responses from whoever she's singing with. Even vocal coaches have noted that her sense of timing and ability to read signals or expressions from musicians make her unique. Thus, Mariah wishes to create an emotional impression on the audience, and sort of 'flows' into the atmosphere and mood of the song. She does this through careful observation of emotional expressions and heavy mirroring. She's also incredibly agreeable. Mariah goes with the flow of conversation, apologizes quickly for offenses and always attempts to create a comfortable and easygoing atmosphere. She also spoke on how she wasn't 'thick-skinned' in one interview; that it quickly hurt her to see pain and how she was deeply emotional. •────⋅☾ ☽⋅────••────⋅☾ ☽⋅────••────⋅☾ ☽⋅────• People rarely mention this, but in stressful times, like her Glitter debacle, Mariah reverts back into extremely critical Ti; not Fi. The normally patient and peace-loving Mariah disappeared in an instant. She recalls one instance in her book (after Glitter's failure) where she lashed out at her mother, angrily saying that she did all that she could- and how she never did that before, since it was usually was her siblings... but she had enough of everything. This is not inferior Fi, but Ti. She actively resisted the idea of lashing out, wanting to maintain peace, but the events leading up to this sent her on an absolute rampage. And this is by projecting her mother's supposed failures back at her, purely from Mariah's perspective. Mariah herself notes that this provoking attitude IS A DEVIATION from her normal state of being. She is unlike this sassy, critical or negative person, being quite tolerating. Have a look: ♛My own mother had woken me up from the first sleep I’d had in nearly a week! To make matters worse, she was waking me up to tell me that the record label was looking for me to get me back to work—as if, rather than being my mother and caretaker, she was some kind of agent for the machine that had repeatedly placed my earning potential over my well-being. That was the last straw. I really did leave my body. Something deep inside me rose quickly up and out of my throat; it was feral with seething rage. ♛ I wasn’t expecting any comforts a sick child might receive from a healthy mother. I knew my mother didn’t have the capacity for that kind of maternal response; after all, I was the one who took care of things. I took care of her, and everything else. I wasn’t expecting her to do anything to help me feel better, but I certainly wasn’t expecting her to wake me up! My rage took over. I couldn’t see, I couldn’t hear, I couldn’t feel my body. ♛As a survival response, I dipped into the depth of my sarcasm and made fun of her, viciously. Cutting to humor when faced with extreme stress or trauma had been a defense mechanism I developed as a child. ♛ “Well, I did the best I could! I did the best I could!” I imitated her mockingly, over and over. I was trying to wake her up, with her own words, to the cruel absurdity of the moment. I knew it was wrong, but every filter I might have had to stop me had been ripped away. •────⋅☾ ☽⋅────••────⋅☾ ☽⋅────••────⋅☾ ☽⋅────• This is Mariah during stress. It wasn't purely an emotional outbreak; but the idea that 'I did everything for you' and 'I tolerated you', and 'you did not do enough'. She spirals into this anger, critically assessing and making rationalizations about others which may or may not be true, but she is finally letting her bluntness through, which she has never done before. Of course, this is a stress response. But it tells you that Mariah's inferior function is not Fi, but Ti. She's not a dominant-thinking type; she reverts to this stage (extreme usage of Ti) only during critical moments.
