Layne didn't seem like a SX 4 at all. He had a laid-back attitude. This guy fought with his inner demons more like a SP 4. He didn't need to make others suffer in order to feel better with himself. SX 4 According to Beatrice Chestnut: "In the Sexual Four subtype, the inner motivation is envy, and its manifestation as competition. These Fours don't feel consciously envious so much as they feel competitive as a way of muting the pain associated with envy. If they can compete against another person they perceive as having more than they do and win, they can feel better about themselves". I can't see Layne as an "all or nothing" person. He seemed like a guy who was “long-suffering” in the sense of learning to endure pain without wincing. SP Fours are more stoic and strong in the face of their pain. In fact, he was more self-destructive than competitive. Anyway, Layne was an amazing singer with a lovely soul. Such a great artist. <3
