If he wasn't aware, I believe he is an xxxJ, probably following Caine's one job for him, in order to achieve such simple goal, for him and for Caine. If he does decidided to break the rule, he is most likely to be an xxxP, since Perceivers are aware of things and willing to break that rule in order to satisfy themselves and help others that's been facing the same problem.
