Alright. Of course it currently isn't possible to provide a substantial argument, but I'll put my foot in the door by saying that I think the idea that "The best defense is a good offense" fits Rei's Motus Operandi. The way Rei Retaliated against Muu, whom she recognized as someone dangerous was by becoming the manifestation of the danger she identified within Muu herself (Which may have worked a little too well :/). There aren't very many demonstrations of point VI's defense mechanism of projection as straightforward as this. Based off of her mannerisms, Rei's personality marbles shyness, inhibition, restraint, and propriety with cold and serious independence and formidability. Purposeful avoidance of the incessant power struggle, as vulnerability and hierarchy are mutually inclusive for all within it. Her fear of conflict was masked through appearing above it all. Muu perceived Rei's cautiousness and voluntary disassociation as a cold and arrogant rejection from Rei. Muu had "won" the game by propping herself up as a charitable benefactor, but Rei was able to win it by not playing at all. Upon the ignition of this conflict, it became impossible for Rei to continue to bypass the radar, which is what triggered her to finally take action against the lingering threat by flipping the hourglass over. I think that Rei's unspoken message was : "Anything, you're capable of doing to me, I am also capable of doing and so much worse. I won't hesitate to prove it and put you in your place if I have to." Anyhow, the point I'm trying to make here, is that I don't think there's a type better suited for Rei than sexual 6. There are many ways she can be read, but each and every one of them culminates with Rei electing to deal with the threat by becoming the threat herself. Effectively confirming her type.
