Lowkey been waiting for someone to point this out on my behalf… but since no one is coming, I’mma say it myself. Have you realized that Lu Guang’s ability is the exact embodiment of Si? He’s observing and cataloguing the data in the physical world which is related to past experience. Looking back to the past to scrutinize every little tangible surrounding captured in the photograph… Like that’s such a legit coincidence. He is THE ISTJ. Aux Te is because he is taking his catalogue of information to support his purpose and achieve whatever it is the purpose of analysing the picture. And he is very exact with his intention. "If the client’s favor is to do X then you just do X. Don’t do anything unasked for…” “No matter what happens. Do not change the past.” And he’s been living by that golden rules. WHich tells the distinction between ISTJ and INTJ. Si-dom would likely to opt for security. "What are the data that will assure me that this is going to work?” which is basically Lu Guang’s reasoning the whole season. He is living based on his experiences, and would not dare to change the past because (I assume there might be an untold story that) based on his experience that would lead to problems e.g. the disappearance of people living in the present moment. And that’s why he constantly tells Cheng Xiaoshi “Do. Not. Change. The. Past. Dudebro.” which Xiaoshi ignored - due to his Se+Fi Se = when Xiaoshi is delving into the photograph, the only real thing is the photograph, in which he got the illusion that it is the present (but of course it’s not) Fi = helping people because of his sense of self (e.g. “I want to help because *I feel* like it's the right thing to do”) Meanwhile Lu Guang’s reasoning is more like: Si = what can I do to solve the problem based on the tangible data I’ve gathered? Si + Te = staying true to the goal. do not get distracted by emotions brought up because the photograph is in the past. it is not the real present moment. In my opinion, INTJ would be more daring to challenge the system. Because they do not need to see the physical proof or evidential data in order to put their plans into motion. If Lu Guang was an INTJ, he’d probably - for example - come up with a plan to outwit the pre-established system and try saving the people from earthquake while also trying to keep the people in the present safe… instead of doing what he did so that the past unfolds exactly the same as it had happened… Does that make sense?
