Most of the comments on this page show a complete disregard for human nature and a lack of understanding of typology itself. Anyone in PDB seems to have a refined concept of what Se VS Ne really means, leading to a situation where everyone relies on stupid stereotypes to type a character. With this clear, I'm quickly explaining the similarities between Se and Ne. ✅Both are Extraverted functions. ✅Both are oriented to the outer world. ✅Both are irrational functions (they don't make desitions, just collect information) ✅Both are perceiving functions. Now, it's clear that in this page Se and Ne can get easily confused, since they share a lot of characteristics. Before explaining what Se and Ne actually means, I'm explaining what they DON'T MEAN. Se doesn't mean: ❌Being realistic ❌Being action oriented ❌Being interested on looks ❌Living the moment ❌Being direct in your speech patterns Se actually means: ✅Seeing the object as a concrete database of information. ✅Seeing the information that an object brings to you with very specific and delimited lines. ✅Having an attachment to the object, since all the information you need is encapsulated in there. Ne doesn't mean: ❌Being highly imaginative ❌Talking a lot with metaphors ❌Easily brainstorm ideas ❌Living detached from reality Ne actually means: ✅Seeing the object as a standpoint to build theories and frameworks ✅Seeing the information that an object brings to you as something more blurry ✅Don't having any attachment to the object when you extract all the possibilites behind it On this profile, I haven't seen any correct argument for voting Himeno as an ESTP/ESFJ. All of them are flawed and don't rely on how she processes stimuli. I've wrote another argument on this profile where I explain how Himeno treats the object: https://www.personality-database.com/comment/6178810?profileID=44142 If you are going to argue, then explain to me when has she, for example, treated the object as a database of concrete information. Saying that she lives in the moment, is realistic, etc, doesn't really explain nothing. It's just a flawed argument that doesn't deserve to be taken seriously
