He is definitely an Fi user, and this is coming from an INFJ who does relate to him in a sense. However, in the book, he is definitely an Fi user. I can see where people may think he is an Fe user, as he does like to analyze other people, but that isn’t an Fe thing. However, as an Fi user, he uses his own emotions to understand how people are feeling, and often times throughout the book he doesn’t understand other people’s emotions, because it’s not something he personally has gone through. Furthermore, he is an Ne and Si user. His low Si makes him feel comfortable doing what he knows, and is perfectly okay being a “wallflower”. His Ne allows him an escape from reality, where he indulges himself in the fictional worlds of books.
