She is a healthy Ni dom primarily because of her singular focus of getting into Oxford. She views this path to success as integral in not only improving her future, but also the livelihoods of her family in the long run who have struggled financially (auxiliary Fe), indicating big picture thinking. Ni doms are motivated to achieve and performs tasks due to their focus on long-term goals like this, whereas Si doms, while they can be goal oriented, they see hardwork as a responsibility than a means to an end. Although her commitment to organisation can be interpreted as Si, it is essential to understand that her ennegram type 1w2, which is fairly common to intuitives like INTJ and INFJ mean that she will display diligence perfectionism and responsibility than the average INFJ. Her leadership in that Events committee is driven by her need to boost her applications to oxford, showing how she has carefully paved a path to her future. This, in combination with her desire for staying out of trouble in school showcase how she has considered the implications and requirements to achieving that long-term goal, signifying Ni as she has considered all angles. Her Ni never more shines than when she strives to maintain her authenticity in Maxton Hall by vocalising her beliefs even if it means challenging the established hierarchy of the school, a hallmark of intuitves. For example, when she calls out James's arrogance in front of the whole class, which is quite unlikely of a Si user who is more committed to obeying classroom decorum and will be accepting of the school order to maintain peace. Ni doms have an edge at noticing patterns and developing insights that most cannot. Although she judges James harshly for his privilege, she is accurate in her observations of his character as he feels visibly called out. Nevertheless, she sees through the arrogance and sees a broken boy and constantly offers empathy and advice to his situation, even going to the extent of "fixing him"like at the end when she tried to help him narrow down goals and understood that not everyone wants the same goals in life. In the case of lydia, if she was a Si dom, she would have if not told a school authority, at least told someone about it, showing her adherence to rules. Although she disapproved of it, she respected that the situation may be too complicated than she knew and respected Lydia's privacy, not even telling her friends. Sorry for the rant, but these reasons are why I voted INFJ. She could be an INTJ too.
