(SPOILERS) a seemingly stereotypical ISFJ but with a creepy undertone. truthfully, my favorite character in this book/movie because she seems easy to understand yet so complex inside. Si: constance has been stuck in the blackwood’s house for six years. constance being agoraphobic never leaves past blackwoods’ garden. she spends her days cooking, cleaning, and taking care of uncle julian and merricat. she shows very stereotypical ISFJ housewife traits. Fe: constance is kind to everyone. she greets charles with open arms because he is their distant cousin. her kindness is for everyone and she cares very much for everyone’s well-being. but constance is sensitive towards other people’s accusation of her murdering their family. she is so altruistic that she even takes the blame of her family’s death for merricat. Ti: despite her sweet simple demeanor, constance is smarter than she looks. constance admits that she always known that merricat murdered their family despite never talking about it. this fact does not stop her from loving merricat because she knows merricat will always love her. Ne: constance has an extreme fear of going outside and meeting unfamiliar people. she gets upset at the thought of leaving or unplanned events. her Ne is definitely suppressed due to her trauma and agoraphobia. but charles charms her by promising her that they can see the world together and get out of their town. constance is enamored with the idea and her courage to get out is becoming prominent. but she is also the last of the three is consider the possibility that charles is only there for their money rather than reconnecting with the family.
