I see this trait most in Entp's and Intp's as opposed to ISTJ's. Their Ti combined with Fe makes them want others to be logically consistent and have the correct facts. It's only annoying to people who are too prideful to be corrected, I actually admire this trait as long as it's not done in a condescending way, and as means to look smarter or better than someone else. I genuinely think INTPs and Entp's do this to help people but since ti tends to have this blunt feel to it it can be annoying to some or taken the wrong way. Having a combination of ti and ne tends to make them go into a bunch of rabbit holes and wikipedia dives about a subject vaguely mentioned (or interest ofc) to store facts up in their robot brains (or just because they like to learn about the world). I see this a lot with my Entp boyfriend where he will spend a lot of his alone learning about stuff to feed his curiosity or his "um actually". He will give me a bunch of facts on a movie he's never even seen himself as if he's a fan just because it was a victim of his late night researching.
