My take on why I believe Yukine is a sexual 4. I will be referring to Episode 8 and 9 (chapter 10 & 11 in the manga) of Noragami. So Yato and Yukine go to school due to a client that called them: Manabu. He proceeds to tell them his troubles and how he's being bullied at school, making his life miserable, saying: "Why does this only happen to me? I hate this place so much. I want to go somewhere far away from here!" Instead of sympathizing with Manabu after hearing his little sob story, Yukine's irritation is visible and Yato calls him out on it, saying: "That's just you hating people who have a mindset like yours, Yukine". Why is he upset? Because Yukine is envious of what Manabu has. His mentality is "You have what I wish I had, why aren't you appreciating that? You're so lucky." Yukine longs to live like a normal person, going to school and having friends, having fun etc. He enters a classroom full of students and seeing so many kids his age amazes him, but then he feels envious, saying "It must be nice...having friends. It must be nice. Why does this only happen to me?" The longer he's at school, the more he yearns a life that he can't attain and his feelings of envy and hatred intensify, causing him to reach his breaking point: smashing all the windows at school, because it's a "if I can't have it, no one can" sort of tantrum. After blighting Yato badly, they start the purification ritual or punishment, and Yukine later admits: "Futures, memories, families, friends,..even though they have all of those things, why can't I have any?! What's wrong with taking it all...? It'd be better...if everyone was dead just like me..."
