個性

"Hiyori Ikiはどのような性格タイプですか? Hiyori Ikiは、ESFJ in MBTI、2w1 - so/sx - 296 in Enneagram、SCOAI in Big 5、SEI in socionics のパーソナリティタイプです。"

Ok so today I will be arguing for E1 Hiyori, more specifically a so/sp 1w2. I accepted the 2w1 consensus for a long time because on the surface, I feel like it makes a lot of sense. Hiyori’s empathetic, kind, and helpful, but there’s more to being a 2 than just that. I don’t really see how she fits the trait structures of a 2 tbh. Where’s the pride? Or the flattery? Not to mention that she’s the furthest thing from a so/sx 2. Furthermore, I don’t think being unloved or unneeded is her core fear. Hiyori strives to be morally perfect – she’s stubborn and resolute in the face of what she deems to be morally correct. Hiyori wants to be a “good” person above all, which has been instilled in her for her entire life. In chapter 3, it’s shown that her mother showed her “worthless” people as an example of what not to do in life. It’s played off as a joke ofc, but it’s clear Hiyori carries this ideology with her. Furthermore, she idealizes her father for being a doctor and saving people, which comes up repeatedly in the series. I’ll discuss this further when I get to the hospital arc, but it’s an extremely important factor in Hiyori’s life. She wants to be better than these worthless people, which is why she takes such a disliking to Yato when they meet. Not only does she consider him to be one of these worthless people, she deems him incapable of taking care of Yukine and naively thinks she can do better, so she takes Yukine in. Like how does this girl not have an idealistic core type? A 296 doesn’t have a single idealistic stance (1-4-7) so even if Hiyori isn’t a core 1, it’s ridiculous to think she wouldn’t have a 1 in her tritype. Ok, let’s make a quick note on Hiyori and resentment/perfection. I think it’s pretty clear Hiyori holds everyone around her to her high standards, and then scolds them when they don’t live up to them. Most notably is Yato ofc, so I’d like to take an example from Chapter 4. In this chapter, Hiyori gets (understandably) upset with Yato when he refuses to help s//icidal people. She reflects back on what her father would do (once again, Hiyori being guided by what her parents told her was correct) and decides to take matters into her own hands (istg this girl never learns) Hiyori then starts fighting Ayakashi and doing what she deems Yato’s job as a way to channel her resentment into what she finds morally correct. This is just one example, but I think it illustrates how Hiyori’s thought process works, and how it ties into her being a core 1. For the sake of space, I’m going to move on to the hospital arc, which I feel goes most in-depth into Hiyori’s character, and really showcases the points I’m trying to make. This arc was never animated, so anime-onlys, I hope you got the message from what I mentioned previously. There’s probably more examples in the Bishamon arc, I just can’t pinpoint them directly in my memory. Ok hospital arc! I’d like to start with Yato and Hiyori’s conversation about her being a doctor first. Hiyori thinks she wants to be a doctor because her father is one. Once again, Hiyori looks to her parents as to what is the right thing to do. However, she fears she lacks the conviction to be one, which would make her a bad doctor. Obviously, this is a very big E1 dilemma. Moving on to the actual drama of the arc, I think it nicely illustrates 1 -> 4 disintegration. Usually this isn’t my favorite argument, but it’s showcased so strongly in this arc I had to include it. When Fujisaki attacks the hospital and nearly gets Hiyori’s mother killed, she blames herself and completely spirals. While she’s obviously upset about her mother getting hurt and the hospital getting destroyed, what pushes Hiyori over the edge is the belief that it’s her fault. So in her extremely unhealthy state, Hiyori seeks the only thing that she believes will relieve her from this - Yato’s forgiveness and acceptance. In this scenario, she dips into the low side of 4, indulging in her own selfish desires. That’s all I have room for on core 1, so now I’ll get into my more specific typings. For starters, I think so/sp subtype. From the integrative9 website: “Social Ones bring attention to what is good, right and appropriate and set an example of integrity and principled conduct. High self-control and high standards set them apart from people around them. Motivated by fairness and ‘making things right’ at their best they are systemic thinkers and role models for living one’s beliefs and values.” I think this fits Hiyori pretty well, and is shown pretty consistently throughout her character. As for sp vs sx, I just don’t really see sx 1 in her. She lacks the intensity and aggression of one. Instead, I find sp fits a little more - she has a strong sense of personal responsibility and focuses more on internal perfection. 126 tritype - triple compliant works well and I still agree with 2+6 fixes. I wouldn’t be opposed to 127 though. Ok that’s about all I can fit^^ As always, I’m open to discussion :)

バイオグラフィー

Hiyori Iki is the main female protagonist of the Noragami series. She is a half-ayakashi whose spirit can temporarily leave her human body. Hiyori is a kind-hearted and brave individual who will go out of her way to help someone in danger, even if she does so at risk to her own safety. This extends not only to her loved ones, but also to strangers. She has a strong moral compass and is usually willing to speak out against others if she feels their actions are wrong, although she has shown herself to be slightly more lenient at times when the matter concerns a friend. She is very perceptive of those around her, able to see good intentions behind others' seemingly cruel words or actions. Despite this, Hiyori can be a bit air-headed or naive; for example, believing she would be fully prepared to be Yukine's caretaker, or being comically concerned that she isn't "wireless" when she learns that her cutting her cord could result in her death.
