ISFP. I bet everyone agree with his ISF, but I don't think he is a J. At least both in show and novel, he doesn't pretty got a chance to plan. It's very hard to find out Xu Zhu's personality. Since his story was purposely designed to be seem like his life are full of passive and uncontrollable events. Pretty ISFP to me. While ISFJ dominant is Si, I personally feel like Xu Zhu's dominant function might be Fi. I always feel like Xu Zhu is very similar to Duan Yu. But just that Duan Yu knew what he want, his conflict is the dilemma between moral and his wishes (or Confucian-Buddhist teaching VS desire), while Xu Zhu dilemma is between Buddhist teaching and Temptation. Xu Zhu doesn't know what he want, but he feel like cannot say no, whether people are taking advantages from him, manipulate him, asking something from him or worst, seducing him. While his secondary function is Se. In show it doesn't obvious, but in novel he is quite attentive to people small reaction. Like in the story he notice some sign telling him Tian Shan Tong Lao was trying to plan on something. He voice it out as an attitude to beware of her, yet he still cannot say no to her, when Tian Shan Tong Lao morally kidnapping him. Thus we see the scene of he carry her on back while mumbling complaining about how he doesn't feel right toward Tian Shan Tong Lao.
