Overall, I agree with the user's analysis regarding the alien race's use of Ni-Te functions to plan and implement their objectives. They demonstrate abstract-strategic thinking (Ni) – one example being the choice of Earth as suitable for terraforming was possibly based on Ni-vision of the planet's hidden potential – and are focused on the effective achievement of goals (Te), as evidenced by the use of tripods for the rapid and systematic destruction of the population and infrastructure; the use of advanced technologies for rapid territorial capture and terraforming. In the context of socionics, they, in my opinion, correspond more to the LII type than to LSI or ILI. Their logical approach, strategic planning, disregard for emotions, and focus on results best characterise this type. However, I cannot agree with the definition of psychosophy as VFLE. It seems to me that the ‘Logic-Physics’ type - LF (although this does not correspond to Ti-Se in MBTI; in the film, the aliens demonstrate a clearly low level of Se) is more likely: logic clearly dominates in them. They approach the task of destroying humanity as rationally and efficiently as possible, using advanced technology. Their main goal is to capture resources and terraform the planet. They are completely indifferent to emotions and will. Physics, as a secondary function, is important because they actively interact with the physical world, changing it to suit their needs. Will occupies the third (3) position: they do not demonstrate flexibility in strategy and diplomacy, and when faced with unexpected problems (viruses), they suffer defeat. Individuals with the third will may be prone to radical decisions or inaction, as there is no middle ground – this model is demonstrated to us in the film: after the lightning-fast destruction of humanity using extremely radical methods, they encounter bacteria. This was something that was outside their algorithm, something they did not foresee and something they were vulnerable to, as a result of which they simply stopped acting or looking for alternative ways, deciding to just let things take their course. It is for this reason that I believe their type in psychosophy corresponds to LFVE, which is consistent with other positions in my analysis.

The aliens who invaded Earth in War of the Worlds are of unknown origin. They had been planning the invasion of Earth for several millions of years, seemed to be highly intelligent and showed to be highly technologically advanced. They met their downfall when (presumably) consuming from food sources containing micro-organisms, against which they had not developed natural immunity, leading to their deaths within a matter of days. General behavioural traits: Intelligent, Curious, Aggressive, Expansionist; Colonizing.
