"canon" MBTI types don't really mean anything. the author may create the characters and understand their personalities, but analyzing those personalities and assigning them certain "types" is much more of a complex process that most authors likely don't have the skills to do i'm not saying that Alice doesn't understand typology, but they most likely went through each of the characters and thought "hmm are they an S or an N" does canon matter more than accuracy?
