sx9 yoshiki argument! (though i believe his sp/sx5 is evident, maybe as a fix, anyways this is just an observation that brought myself to type him this way): fulfilling the ego strategy of self-forgetting and fragmentation is the core motivation of the sx9, we can see this when yoshiki realizes the meaning of why he's going through all the hardships with 'hikaru': "in the end, it's just that ego of mine. 'it's all for hikaru, it's all for the village', i keep saying. but really, it's just me scrambling to avoid responsibility (of having to face himself and his loss i suppose). in the end it's all of my own sake". sx9s develop and discover themselves through intrapersonal relationships; they hope to find meaning or salvation through someone they see themselves in: "i'm a monster just like you. in the narrow confines of this world, i can't find a place to belong. it always feels so hard to breathe. i felt as though i always had to hide the person i was, and that's why i want to save him: 'cause if i'm with you, i might be saved too". when unhealthy, sx9s might feel the relationship they’re in is 'good enough', leading to them remaining in stagnant, unhealthy situations for years. it may not fulfill the basic needs of a healthy, positive relationship, but it may fulfill the 'selfish' strategy of self-forgetting. yoshiki's relationship with hikaru is inevitably delf destructing, he knows nothing good will come out of staying together, but he can't bring himself to separate from him.
