𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼 The Superego block is the starting point of a person’s worldview. Being located in the Mental Ring and low-dimension (weak), this block is socially conforming. People want to fulfill social expectations in this block, yet they’re naturally weak in this which would lead them to become highly conscious about it. In IEI’s case, they have Si as Role function and Te as Vulnerable function. IEI readily learns about the social conception of hedonism and how to work rapidly and endlessly to achieve that maximum pleasure. However, an IEI feels anguish and worried about those, which will become their driver of action in their Ego block. 𝟭/𝟭 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 (𝗦𝗶+) 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 The starting point of one’s Mental Ring, a person’s social self. In this function, an IEI readily accepts what society deems as sensationally pleasing, things that could give maximum comfort, and the social concept of having fun hedonistically. IEI feels that they have to submit to society’s concept of “maximum, numbing pleasures” like alcohol or drugs, listening to loud-sounding music like metal or hardstyle, or have to binge consume something when they feel pain or uncomfortable sensation inside their body. They also feel a sense of obligation to give advice for others who are suffering with physical, uncomfortable sensation to numb the pain with those maximalist pleasure. Since this function has Norms dimension, they may try to find a reason why people think this way, why would everyone focus on numbing their pain instead of finding the source and heal them properly. Yet they would naturally relent to the society’s concept in this due to their natural normativity of this function. They could only understand the reason if their dual, SLE, tells them. Otherwise, they’d keep this criticism of hedonistic obligation to themselves to be solved with their Ego block. 𝟮/𝟭 𝗩𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 (𝗧𝗲+) 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 The point of least resistance and one’s biggest source of anguish. Here, IEI readily learns how to work swiftly and endlessly, creating something that will work immediately to give hedonistic pleasure. They think that they must work endlessly and rapidly if they want to get that hedonistic pleasure, since they feel that they’d be a failure mess if they don’t achieve that pleasure. However, due to being one-dimensional, an IEI is perpetually afraid that their hard work will not yield the maximum pleasure they need. They’re afraid to waste their energy on hyperfixating with work or overclock themselves or others to work on something that ends up being a failure or doesn’t work immediately. They feel mentally tired and incapable of keeping up with the fast-paced and hedonistic nature of the world and feel discouraged with their life. Failure in doing something useful is a big blow for IEI. They might think their life is over except if they work in sensual-related fields or force themselves in, since they feel that hedonistic pleasure is all they need. They wish for their dual, SLE, to take care of this matter so the IEI could redirect their mental energy elsewhere. Unfortunately, most IEI is not dualized. Therefore, this inner paranoia of being obligated to work endlessly to achieve maximum homeostasis will keep haunting IEI.
