it's been a long time since i've seen and read demonslayer, but kokushibo was absolutely one of my favorite characters so i'll give it a shot. I understand why a lot of people are voting him as ISFP, he does seem to have a strong use of Fi-Te, but i think there has been an ongoing trend of misinformation about Fi that has emerged recently. Fi as a function is a bit of a tricky one because most surface level explanations pretty much just some up what it means to have morals or to be emotional without the actual characteristic of the Fi. the Fi dominant individual is one who operates under the principle 'know myself apart from others' they withdraw into themselves and their instincts of right and wrong to know where they stand. In healthy Fi leads this shows as tolerance and healthy individuality, in unhealthy Fi leads, it often shows in terms of self righteous rebellion and isolation. contrast this with say Fe, Fe operates under the principle "know myself and world through others" they define their morals and general experience based on their connections and understanding of those around them, as opposed to Fi they continuously latch on to a variety of individuals to form comfort and identity. That again is the major difference between a Je lead and a Ji lead. Kokushibo fits the Je lead description, he defines himself almost to a fault in terms of how others see him and his place in society. He has always been perpetually concerned with what others think of him and his status and he achieves it by making himself and his life more efficient (bro literally became a demon), contrast that with Tanjiro (i'm not contrasting him w Yorichii because it sucks to be compared to your twin and also yorichii is like a god lol) who reaches perfection by his idealized connections with others rather than world. that said Kokushibo is a clear Te lead. But all of this is without acknowledging that he is an obvious Ni dominant. If i remember correctly (which I often don't so anyone can feel free to correct me) Jung's descriptions of Ni revolve around the interpretation of objective information (Se) into a metaphysical principle that becomes the defining feature of the individual's experience. Jung's example is religious ideology, but I think what he was getting at is that the Ni individual interprets reality as more than what it is and they DEFINE THEMSELVES and their experience based on that interpretation. the best way to explain this would be interpreting themselves as an archetype, in an abstract future. the downfall of the Ni dominant is that their perception of themselves and reality has the tendency to be very false. this is most commonly explained by websites as the Ni aha moments etc, but i think that neglects the real picture (again though i've mostly come to this conclusion on my own so feel free to disagree). If we look at Kokushibo, his downfall is he perpetually wishes to be larger than life, and pursue dreams that were never really tangible or practible, he becomes a demon to embrace a grand archetype despite it being so far from the reality he was raised in and thought he was becoming. that's a symptom of Ni-Se. Anyways, I can understand the Fi dominant votes, but I think Kokushibo has always shown greater use of Ni-Te, and very poor use of Se.
