rich coming from me (an INFJ) but i see the way she handles her first one-on-one conversation with circe as very fe/ti. she's analytical and observant, like all ni doms in fiction are, that's for sure. but she is also incredibly aware of circe's feelings and motivations, which i think is more indicative to the mindset of an fe aux haver than a te aux haver. strong fe havers are known for their ability to read through the lines in social situations, to mute their personal feelings in favor for understanding the feelings of those around them. this is also just from my personal observations and experiences, but INTJs tend to be stubborn in their ethics and beliefs. with fi being their third function, INTJs can use the function often, if only quite childishly. this makes them appear stand-offish and opinionated at worst, or passionate and motivated at best. INFJs, i have been told, are distant and hard to read. they have a barrier of politeness and diplomacy that prevents most people from knowing what they're truly feeling. you never know what side they're really on unless they want you to know. the quote "i don't claim to know what my mother thinks" is very telling too of penelope's fe. she's distant and diplomatic and polite even to her own son. i understand that that may look like te, but a lot of te users find it bothersome to try being polite when they could be direct about what they truly feel and want instead. i just don't see that fierce bluntness in penelope's way of gaining power. ^^ this is all a really messy ramble and ill probably edit it one day, but yeah, i think she has fe over te. fe isnt always sweet or kind; i often use my fe in tandem with my ti to come up with strategies and logical analyses, much like how penelope does in the book
