I can't understand the INTP votes. It is true that his Ti helps him to solve the cases, but Holden's actual ''ally'' is his Ni. Ignoring the, practically supernatural, ability which he has to read patterns, the way he processes information just sums the Introverted Intuition behavior as dominant function: Having instincts and hunches that frequently turn out to be correct, noticing trends to form a prediction of what could be, envision the future (not knowing how), viewing, unconsciously, images and symbols as tangible images and data, creating a ''narrow'' , synthesized, future- oriented vision of reality... ...Certainty, conviction, ambition... On the other hand, he is far from having Fe as inferior function. He's so good on spotting serial killers' demeanors because of his notions of manipulation through psychological tricks, that allow him to get into people's minds. Holden is capable of forewarn the thoughts and feelings of others by external empathy and the human being comprehesion, with its paradoxes, contradictions and complexities.
